Easter-y status-y update-y thing-y

Spring is springing quite frantically ’round these parts which is great and all *achoo* if you like pollen and having to mow the grass in freakin’ MARCH.  At least the dogwoods are blooming like they mean it.

Updates ARE *en route – even for Andre…  Really…they are…  (*notice I didn’t say when…I’m smarter than that.)  Part of the problem is that I’m currently winding up Andre – the next chapter is 95% likely to be the last chapter and it’s always a sad feeling when one of my brain-babies is “all grown up”.  Bluntly, my FLM and I are pouting about it and it’s affecting the other fics.  When you combine mutual pouting with busy-life-shit, sentence creation falls by the wayside.

(Not that wayside, the other one.  No, no, your OTHER left…)

So, yeah, that’s my excuse.  Did it work???  Pleasesayyes…

Anyway, to all of you wonderful people who celebrate Easter/Spring/Ēostre:  HAPPY BOIL-AND-DYE-AND-HIDE-AND-LOSE-YOUR-EGGS TIMES!!!!

Really…I’ll be updating soon…

(Send coffee and Eric and/or Godric stat!)

  2. LMAO! Happy Easter to you, dahling, and here is your Dunkin’ Donuts coffee! Join me in a cup, won’t you? Now let’s think about this… Easter is quite early, isn’t it? It’s still March! You’re cutting the grass, Mr. Buffy is going to slay dandelions tomorrow (I know you love them, but there are more of them than grass.). The buds on the trees are lovely as I look out from the Bat Cave, the birds are singing, and the flowers that the deer & other critters from msbuffy’s have not eaten look & smell beautiful, even if they make me sneeze! God bless your sneezes!
See, it could be like this; we could be freezing our asses off and shoveling a shit-ton of snow still as is usually the case, so I will happily take every gift this Spring has given us, even the sneezes! Hoppy Easter!

  5. msbuffy: *gladly shares cup of “don’t kill’em” life-and-joy with you whilst mourning the pretty little dandelions soon to meet their sad end* I love dandelions and wouldn’t mind if they covered well over 50% of my yards but, yeah, it’s nice to be able to see the grass part, too, lol. And you are SO right – I vastly prefer some sneezing over shoveling snow, or worse – dealing with ice! – any day of the week. Happy Easter!

  7. mom2goalies: *no, your first left – you had it right the first time* Tell your family they can’t have any of my coffee, but you can drop by for a cup (and a by-then stale-ish doughnut if you want)! 😀 And Alex/Eric is ours all ours all ours – they can’t have any of that deliciousness either! 😀 Happy Easter!!

  8. switbo: The link to the tasty gorgeousness worked great! You’re more than welcome to comment with pasting a “right-click on the pic to copy it” pic to see if that’d work? I have no idea if it would or not but I love experimenting with computery things. Well, till things go splody, so, yeah, wear eye protection jic… ♥

  11. If only I could send the *real* thing. Or, you know, maybe I’d just keep him. Lol! I’d even learn to like coffee if he were delivering it! 😜

  12. You know I’m always happy to send you our dandelions… Damn things make me sneeze if & when I do leave the house! Of course, right now I’m hoping the 3″-4″ of snow we’re supposed to be getting just might kill them…rubbing my hands with malicious thoughts as well as warming them. It’s April 9th! I realize this is the month in that what can happen, will, but come on! Anyway, I hope you had a most delightful Easter when the weather was glorious! 🙂

  13. msbuffy: Heh, and I would gladly accept them! 😀 There aren’t that many down in the back yard around the willows…magically will them to self-plant there, wouldja?? 😀 Luckily we haven’t had any more snow here, but did/do have that lovely (“lovely”) drop in temps combined with some very high winds and gusts (totally unnecessary but no one asked me).

  14. Casting my spell as I try to type accurately… Damn voice thing does not work! Hey, we’ve had all that, too! Today we may reach 50 degrees! WOO-HOO! A heat wave! One of these days you will receive all of my dandelions just so I can make your day happy and send you some smiles! 🙂

  15. WOW! How nice for you! It never got to 50, but my silly husband went out & grilled anyway. “Manly man cooking over fire” LOL! So silly! I stayed in the warmth, watching & laughing as he shivered. LMAO!

  16. You’re in New England, right? Whenever I’ve been there, the natives have always said, “Wait a minute, the weather will change.” Then it does! I still love it though. As much as I hate winter, I’d move to Maine in a heartbeat. It’s so beautiful & peaceful there. Never gets too hot in summer, low 80’s, just perfect for this old body! 🙂

  17. msbuffy: NC, but the weather here is exactly like that – don’t like it, just wait a little while… I’d make the perfect semi-snowbird: just South enough to avoid ice and most snow in the winter, and way-far-North enough to avoid anything about 90*F…

  18. OK, you’re in the part where you get all the weather! Lucky you! You still get to see leaves change and buds on the trees. How do you get to avoid the above 90-degree weather? I wish we could avoid it in Pittsburgh! Ugh! I know it’s bad when I talk with my cousin in Tampa & it’s worse here than it is for him!
